| The U-23 United States men's soccer team defeats Cuba 6-0 at LP field
in their first match at the 2012 CONCACAF Olympic qualifying
tournament. Despite the deciding win against Cuba, a subsequent loss to Canada and
draw with El Salvador prevents the United States men's team a spot in
the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
